Opinion Arguments - Yes, I Believe I Am Right, No Way You Can Out-Think Me

Opinion Arguments - Yes, I Believe I Am Right, No Way You Can Out-Think MeOpinion arguments are meant to argue the subject in question, whether good or bad. One of the most popular types of opinions is obviously 'dumbing down' of the public, usually done by politics or media figures, a great amount of which come with their own political agendas. The argument comes down to this, if you believe something, it's really hard to say otherwise, so why try to tell people otherwise? Good enough for me.Whether I agree or disagree with that philosophy is beside the point; it's good enough for me. Therefore, my opinion or argument is still my opinion or argument. So long as I'm giving my opinion or argument to other people to prove, I think it's fine. And so is your opinion or argument.Opinion arguments are usually done for sports fans. It is quite common to see people, whether they're on the sidelines or not, crowding into a stadium or bar and scream their opinions and call each other names. If you believe that soccer should be played like soccer and English football is just a 'horseshit', it's okay to be a bandwagon fan or whatever, as long as you don't act like a jerk. You don't have to agree with others; there is no need to be rude about it.Opinion arguments are often used in political purposes, either politically correct or not. I really can't blame people for doing this, since it is meant to be a partisan form of communication. It is also perfectly acceptable in some countries to allow people to say anything they want, without it being censored, if you happen to be American. However, in other countries, it is a punishable offense.Opinion arguments can also be seen in all walks of life, in politics, business, science, literature, news, entertainment, etc. I can't really put my finger on exactly why it is that people feel the need to do this, since if they have a problem with certain opinions, they are free to change their minds or not say them at all. I will admit tha t I sometimes slip and say something controversial in my blog, but that's fine too, as long as I have plenty of people listening to me.Then again, in politics, I can definitely see the argument. People don't really have a choice about it, so if you disagree with them, you don't have to put up with their views. This is one way to go about changing the minds of those who oppose you. That's kind of unfair to them, I know.I don't particularly think that all opinions are equal, and they're not all good. I don't care for liberal politics or any particular topic of discussion; I like the debate, or rather the opinion wars, that are pretty much the trademark of modern society. Why not?But once again, as long as I know what's going on, and I'm not talking about myself, I feel pretty comfortable with my opinion. After all, I'm the only one who knows how I feel, and if I'm giving my opinion, I don't really need to defend it.
